Pay or Shift Range $22 USD to $24 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Job Summary The Shipping/Receiving Driver is responsible for the timely delivery of products, as well as assisting with all daily shipping and receiving activities. Essential Job Functions Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to various locations within a designated area. Ensure timely delivery of shipments while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers professionally. Build positive relationships with clients through effective communication and reliability. Verify products prior to packaging and follow packaging instructions. Prepare items for shipment, including completing shipping notices, bills of lading and any other required documents. Determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of outgoing shipments. Package product according to work instructions. Must be able to create advanced shipping notifications for applicable clients. Receive incoming shipments, verifying the quantity and quality of products against purchase orders or packing lists. Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to management promptly. Organize received items in the warehouse according to established procedures. Follow all safety protocols while driving and handling materials. Assist production and assist other management personnel as needed. Skills and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to logistics is a plus. Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. 2 to 3 years of driving experience with a company. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy packages up to 40 lbs safely. Ability to go up and down stairs. Forklift certification is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions during deliveries.
