Scope of Project: The ITS Project Quality Assurance Team integrates all technical and quality assurance aspects of DSS projects, including planning, implementation, and assessment. This includes auditing and analyzing the systems that produce web-based and mobile applications to improve functionality, add value for users, and minimize reporting-processing time. The Quality Engineer ensures that application features and functions are defect-free and conform to high industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform automation design, implementation, and verification of application features and functionality.
• Work with business users, UI/UX designers, software developers, database engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure applications meet business specifications and quality standards.
• Translate business requirements into test cases and automation scripts for application enhancements.
• Lead QA and UAT triage sessions to prioritize and resolve identified issues.
• Create and execute automation scripts and periodic CI/CD checks to keep applications defect-free; create regression-test scenarios.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, and the Page Object Model.
• Create and manage JMeter performance-test scripts to measure and improve DSS application response times and performance.
• Analyze API connections and response times, identify application and web-solution bottlenecks, and calculate virtual-user volumes for adequate user-interaction coverage.
• Create database queries to retrieve results from DSS databases and maintain data accuracy.
• Ensure web and mobile applications meet DSS standards for security and cross-browser accessibility.

Required/Preferred Skills: A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

• Business and quality-analysis tools such as Azure, Zephyr, JIRA, Balsamiq, and Microsoft Visio.
• Writing complex queries in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Creating, executing, and managing automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Maven, TestNG, IDE tools, Postman, RestAssured, Log4j, and JMeter.
