Your New Role Oversee the daily operations of the commercial HVAC service department in Tampa, Florida. Lead, coach, motivate, and support service technicians and office staff. Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, and workflow to maximize efficiency. Monitor technician performance and provide ongoing training and development. Ensure high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. Resolve escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner. Work closely with company leadership to improve operational processes and overall department performance. Track service metrics, KPIs, productivity, and profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement. Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management. Build accountability across the department while maintaining a positive, safety-focused work environment. Manage staffing and workflow effectively to improve department efficiency and reduce unnecessary overtime where possible. Help develop a high-performing service operation capable of supporting continued company growth. 3+ years of experience managing teams. Previous experience managing a service department or field service team. Strong leadership, staff motivation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced service environment. Experience coordinating field technicians and managing service operations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with computer systems and service management software. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience in HVAC, mechanical contracting, plumbing, electrical, or a related service industry preferred. Experience managing KPIs, departmental performance, productivity, and operational budgets preferred. Familiarity with dispatching, scheduling, and field service management systems preferred. Proven ability to recruit, build, motivate, and develop successful teams preferred.
