Technology Risk & AI Operations Fall Intern

Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: Run day-to-day third-party risk reviews by collecting and reviewing vendor security documentation such as SOC 2 reports, trust centers, and security questionnaires, and draft assessment summaries for supervisor review. Manage vendor follow-up communications and track open items through resolution. Support new-vendor intake and procurement requests, including triage of the procurement queue. Help migrate Branch's procurement workflow into a new system/procurement module and document the new process. Maintain third-party risk management trackers including review status, exceptions, and renewals, and keep vendor records current. Coordinate with Legal and Privacy teams on contracts and data processing agreements. Use AI tools and automation as a core part of the workflow and help document and improve AI-assisted processes. Support tech and AI enablement projects across the security and compliance function as capacity allows. About You The company is looking for: Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with a business, information systems, or technology background. Interest in IT risk management, cybersecurity/compliance, and tech/AI enablement. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, comfortable managing repeatable tasks alongside longer-term projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor-facing interactions. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Comfortable working in spreadsheets, documents, and technology platforms, with a willingness to learn new systems quickly. Curiosity about AI tools and their application to real work is a strong plus. Previous exposure to GRC, audit, procurement, internships, or automation projects is a plus but not required. Compensation & Benefits Paid internship at $25 per hour with a flexible schedule of up to 29 hours per week through fall; part-time or full-time continuation in winter possible for the right candidate.
