Extremely competitive pay plans, some of the best in the industry Role Description The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, MI. This role is responsible for originating and structuring mortgage loans, meeting with clients to understand their financial goals, and recommending appropriate financing solutions from Mortgo Lending's product offerings. Day-to-day tasks include guiding clients through the application process, collecting and reviewing documentation, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Mortgage Loan Officer will maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners, provide ongoing status updates, and support borrowers from initial inquiry through closing. The role also involves staying informed about market trends, loan programs, and industry changes to provide accurate and timely advice. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar lending role, with a strong understanding of borrower qualification and loan origination processes. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including conventional, government-backed, and investment property loan products. Familiarity with Underwriting principles and documentation requirements, with the ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting and processing teams. Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to provide a positive client experience throughout the lending process. Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic financial analysis; ability to explain complex mortgage options in accessible terms. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple client files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on-site in Birmingham, MI and build relationships with local referral partners and real estate professionals. Relevant state mortgage loan originator license (or eligibility to obtain), and adherence to all regulatory and ethical standards.
