Position Details

In this role, you will work closely with our clinical team to provide comprehensive hygiene services that support both patient health and practice success. The ideal candidate is self-driven, naturally curious, and comfortable adapting to changing situations throughout the day. Strong communication skills are essential, especially when working with patients who may feel anxious or when collaborating with the dental team under pressure.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Performing routine and periodontal hygiene procedures
• Conducting assessments, charting, and documentation with accuracy
• Educating patients on oral health best practices and treatment recommendations
• Maintaining a clean and organized operatory
• Collaborating with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow
• Demonstrating professional judgment and a commitment to continuous improvement

This position offers consistent weekday hours with no nights or weekends, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Required Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Dental Hygiene License
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain composed and effective in stressful or fast-paced situations
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated willingness to learn independently
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to high-quality patient care

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
