Come join us on our journey!About the Role:As a Senior Maintenance Manager, you will transform workplace environments by leading site-based maintenance operations and developing the next generation of maintenance leaders. In this critical role, you'll oversee Maintenance Managers and their teams, develop strategic maintenance programs, and drive operational excellence across your site. You will blend strategic planning, financial management, and leadership development while navigating between managing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with operations teams, and responding to emergencies that require quick, decisive action. You'll balance proactive planning with real-time problem resolution while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement across your entire organization of 80+ team members.What Do We Offer? But wait, there's more: We provide lightweight fire-resistant daily wear and composite toe safety shoes for your safety!Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilities include but are not limited to:• You will provide leadership and mentorship to Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers, fostering professional growth, performance excellence, and developing bar-raising talent across your maintenance organization• You will develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, manage site budgets and capital spending plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maximizing equipment uptime and operational efficiency• You will ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures across all operational areas while partnering with site leadership to implement, audit, and enforce maintenance execution and safe work practices• You will manage vendor relationships, coordinate external contractors, provide technical leadership on equipment end-of-life decisions using ROI analysis, and leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale• You will travel domestically up to 15% of the time to support network-level initiatives and provide guidance across multiple sitesBasic qualifications- 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience- 7+ years of leading organizations with 100 or more employees experience- 7+ years of senior leadership development and talent management experience- 10+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience- 7+ years of managing department spend and labor budgets, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing continuous improvement (CI) experience- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experiencePreferred qualification - Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification- Professional Engineering registration- Knowledge of statistical analysis- Experience leading multi-site maintenance organizations- Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems- Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integratorsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
