Clinical Data Manager

The American College of Radiology is a professional association serving over 40,000 members nationwide. Over this period, the CRI has conducted clinical research trials and other research projects that have transformed the practice of radiology, informed the development of clinical practice standards, led to new device approvals, and changed healthcare policy.

The CRI is the core radiology resource for NCI multicenter clinical trials involving diagnostic or therapeutic radiology. And through active research committees in neuroradiology, cardiology, oncology, and pediatrics, the CRI has developed and delivered a diverse range of research studies in partnerships with academia and commercial sponsors. Research studies range from prospective clinical trials to retrospective reader studies, novel imaging methods and imaging software, validation of biomarkers, radiomic feature analysis, and AI algorithm development and validation.

As a Clinical Data Manager, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of clinical trial databases and data collection systems. Working closely with investigators, project teams, and data programmers, you will help ensure the integrity, quality, and usability of study data from initiation through study completion.

As a member of the ACR team, you will:

• Review study protocols and lead clinical data management activities during study startup.
• Design data collection strategies aligned with protocol objectives and study endpoints.
• Collaborate with investigators and research teams to develop metadata and data capture specifications.
• Partner with Clinical Data Programming staff to configure and validate electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Develop edit checks, web logic, and validation specifications to promote data quality and consistency.
• Create study calendars and data collection schedules.
• Conduct Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) testing of databases and study systems.
• Develop case report form (CRF) completion guidelines and user documentation.
• Produce standard, study-specific, and ad hoc reports to support study oversight and decision-making.
• Define and document database modifications required to support protocol amendments and study changes.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a trusted resource for site research staff, providing guidance on protocol requirements and data collection procedures.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• 3+ years of related experience preferred.
• Professional nursing degree/other healthcare certification/bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a multi-modality clinical trials group or research team a plus.
• Knowledge of CDASH/CDISC Standards a plus.
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) platforms required.
• Certified Medidata Rave Study Builder a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and process excellence required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment required.

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy that includes base salary in addition to our full suite of comprehensive benefits. ACR's goal is to pay competitively and equitably. It is typical for individuals to be hired in the entry to middle of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on each case's circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the annual compensation range for this position is 73-80k.
