Club Operations Assistant

Summary This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Clubs. This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hrs./wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible (intermittent) category position are not eligible for benefits. Learn more about this agency Duties Help The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assists the Club Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the club. Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during the absence of the manager and assistant manager and normally at night or on weekends. Serves as a person in charge of the club during assigned shifts, maintaining the overall security of the club resources, including cash, controlled forms, consumable products, non-consumable products, fixtures, and furnishing. Responsible for issuing, receipt, and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews the scheduled functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations, and established procedures are followed. Responsible for conducting club card checks. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Completes all closing checklists, including sanitation, fire, and security, and prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. May be required to work as a window cashier. When workflow exceeds scheduled manpower, this position will ensure that other personnel in the club are temporarily shifted to assist the understaffed area. May operate government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart etc. Performs other related duties as assigned. - This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing. Must have a valid driver's license.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations.
- The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area as noted in the Job Opportunity Announcement.
- Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Direct deposit is required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- A probationary period may be required.
- Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
- Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
