Construction Estimator

About the Role We are partnered with a reputable DC-area general contractor seeking a Construction Estimator to support a strong pipeline of work across the DMV. This role will focus on commercial interiors, base building, and institutional projects throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from conceptual through GMP/bid phases Review drawings/specifications and develop accurate budgets and scopes Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor bids across local trade partners Support preparation of competitive proposals and negotiated bids Work closely with PMs and field teams to ensure pricing aligns with project execution Assist with value engineering and cost-saving strategies Maintain relationships with local subcontractors and vendors in the DMV market Qualifications 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (GC preferred) Experience working in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland market Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and pricing in the DMV Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, or similar tools Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and bid documents Required Skills Commercial interiors (TI), multifamily, healthcare, or institutional work Experience with fast-paced negotiated work and repeat clients Preferred Skills Consistent project pipeline across the DMV Strong subcontractor network and local reputation Opportunity for growth into Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager Competitive base salary, bonus, and full benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
