Materials Associate

Job Overview Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Materials Associate to join our team. The role is primarily in the linen department with additional responsibilities in equipment and customer service rep roles. Shift Details 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., alternating weekends. Responsibilities Receive product and deliver departmental supplies. Stock inventoried supplies, pick and stage supplies to fill par levels and departmental orders. Manage out-dates, code carts, and other critical procedure carts replenishment. Locate recalled items and process return shipment. Maintain department orderliness, rotate stock, cycle count inventory, and perform annual physical inventory. Perform other duties assigned. Lift up to 50 pounds; handle storeroom equipment; put away daily stock shipment. Enter data in the hospital Materials Management Information System. Clean and disinfect medical equipment between patient use. Assist with the daily movement of linen carts. Operate a hand pallet jack. Utilize various electronic devices for order taking. May be asked, from time to time, to work at other SLHS CS locations. Qualifications Proficient math skills and strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to adapt to and become knowledgeable of numerous software applications. Ability to learn hospital supply terms and operate with minimal supervision. Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
