Ultrasound Technician

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. For all techs, the expected start date is based on Novants schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Novant will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.

• OB/GYN Skills Required: 1st-3rd Trimester, Amniotic fluid index, Fetal Anatomical Survey & Placenta Previa
• Neonatal Skills Required: Head & Heart
• Additional Skills Required: Outpatient / MCA & UA Dopplers / Viewpoint & Fetal Echo
• Certs: ARDMS OB/GYN, BLS

• Work Setting Skills: Portables
• General Ultrasound Skills: Liver, Pancreas, Pediatric Abdomen/Pelvis & Spleen
• Procedures Skills: Amniocentesis
• Renal/Pelvis Skills: Bladder, Hemia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus & Vaginal
• Small Parts Skills: Breast Cyst Aspiration, Breast Ultrasound, Superficial Masses, Testicles/Scrotum & Thyroid

Job Details:

• Avg. Daily Census: 50; Rooms: 8
• Shift: 40 hours can be offered
• Will accept 13 weeks
• 8-hour days; 08:00 - 16:30; Monday - Friday
• RTO: 7 days max for AYA auto offer
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: None

Patient Age Group: Adolescents & Adults

Special Procedures / Unit Details: Perinatal scanning for high-risk pregnancies. Need someone with MFM scanning experience. Level 2 detailed anatomies, early anatomies, growth, BPP, dopplers, NT, TV, fetal echo (plus but not required). Patient Dx- Chronic HTN, GDM, growth restriction, abnormalities ect. We do all level two detailed anatomies. Special Equipment: GE Unit Systems: EPIC
