Must-Have: Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting

Description: Must have experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting. NICU experience is a plus but not mandatory. Willingness to learn is required. The facility supports a variety of equipment including Hamilton C-1 BiPAP, Airvo, and Avea ventilators. The documentation system in use is Meditech. There is a self-scheduling system in place, allowing staff to create four-week schedules with an expectation of every other weekend. New equipment and technology, including brand new BiPAPs and Aerogen equipment, have been recently introduced. The unit has a total of 174 acute care beds, including emergency department, ICU, and inpatient beds. Specific procedures and advanced skills required include ABGs. Team members are supported by unit secretaries and tech availability. Patient experience requirements are noted as applicable. The facility holds certifications as a level 3 trauma center, stroke center, and level 2 NICU.
