Procurement Specialist

Procurement SpecialistDrive sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, and cost-saving initiatives for a leading automotive manufacturer. We're looking for a Procurement Specialist who can leverage analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to optimize supplier performance and support new vehicle development programs.What You'll DoDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned automotive commodities and suppliers.Lead supplier selection activities for new model programs in partnership with engineering, design, quality, and finance teams.Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and cost-reduction initiatives to achieve annual savings targets.Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to support strategic sourcing decisions.Build strong supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance.Manage purchasing projects from concept through production launch, ensuring timelines and cost goals are met.Support supplier quotations, BOM maintenance, and purchasing process improvements.Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing purchasing organization.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, engineering, sales, or quality, with automotive purchasing preferred.Experience with automotive commodities, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.Strong negotiation, cost management, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively across cross-functional teams.Experience with ERP systems and purchasing processes is a plus.Nice to HaveAutomotive manufacturing experience.Background in engineering, quality, or commercial roles.Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Experience working with global suppliers and international teams.Why Join Us?Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM schedule.Opportunity to work on high-impact automotive programs and drive meaningful cost-saving initiatives.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raymond, OH.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.65/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
