Korean-English Bilingual Purchasing Manager (36288)

Industrial Power System manufacturer located near Austin, TX is currently looking for a Korean-English Bilingual Purchasing Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years experience in procurement domestically and internationally preferrable in manufacturing industry., and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Responsibilities of Korean-English Bilingual Purchasing Manager

• Lead purchasing and procurement activities, and communicate with suppliers in regard to active orders, logistics tracking, issues with products, etc.
• Receive and compare quotations from suppliers, analyze supplier pricing, production costs, etc. to reduce company expenses and improve supplier quality
• Participate in price negotiation and establishing contracts
• Support New Model Engineering and product development by analyzing production needs, such as equipment, materials, etc.
• Collaborate with other departments to determine future needs for materials / equipment / etc.
• Report purchasing activities to the General Manager and create documentation for upper management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Korean-English Bilingual Purchasing Manager

• Minimum 5+ years of purchasing experience at manufacturing industry
• Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication and related field.
• Business-level of Korean and English language skills
• Established work history in industrial purchasing, production planning, procurement, etc. (Various experience in purchasing is acceptable, such as MRO purchasing, raw materials, or other commodities)
• Experience with production planning, cost analysis, and budget preparation
• Experience with ERP software – MS Dynamics, SAP, AS400 etc. is huge plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Ability to be flexible to work effectively with a wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
• Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
• Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
