Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Develop a plan of care by interviewing patients and families and reviewing health records
• Initiate emergency measures when the physician is unavailable
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed, including medications and IV therapy
• Coordinate and document patient and family education on care measures
• Record observations, interventions, and outcomes in patient care
• Evaluate progress towards care outcomes and update care plans accordingly
• Document specific healthcare requirements and match to team skills
• Provide oversight and guidance to nursing staff and unlicensed personnel
• Ensure adequate supplies and maintain a safe, clean environment
• Promote professional growth through continued competency in nursing practice

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• RN License
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• BLS Certification
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
