Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Perform basic patient assessments and general care including wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures
• Manage post-op procedures such as amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Utilize PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps
• Ensure bedside shift reports, safety checks every 1-2 hours, focusing on communication and responsiveness

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with Meditech documentation system
