Job Description
Dynamic established and growing service organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to join their growing service-based company located in Western Suffolk County. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with strong payroll and accounts payable experience who is looking for long-term growth opportunities within a stable and expanding organization.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using ISolve payroll software and QuickBooks, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll accurately using ISolve payroll software
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Experience with prevailing wage jobs
- Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable functions utilizing QuickBooks
- Reconcile invoices, vendor statements, and expense reports
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
- Will interact with payroll admins from multiple offices to review and reconcile payroll
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of payroll and Accounts Payable experience
- Experience with ISolve payroll software is a plus
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, specifically Accounts Payable functions
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures and accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
