The Senior Analyst will contribute to the Team by preparing financial models and analyzing mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, down rounds, recapitalizations and other complex matters.What You Will Do:Develop, refine and audit complex financial models for corporate transactions Prepare, update and revise deal models, allocation schedules, waterfalls and pro forma capitalization tables, incorporating direction from senior Team membersUnderstand financial information, legal documentation and relevant analytical concepts and generate models that clearly and accurately reflect transaction economicsConduct scenario analysis and develop insights to support strategic decision-makingDeliver client-facing support under the direction of lead attorneys and senior Team membersCommunicate with the internal deal team to ensure accurate and complete data for financial modelingClearly articulate and defend model design, underlying mechanics and model outputAssist the Team with various administrative projects as neededWho You Are:4 or more years of professional experience with a focus on financial modelingBachelor’s degree in finance, with a demonstrated high level of academic achievementProgress toward a CFA preferred, but not requiredPossess a strong background in Finance with particular expertise in financial modelingPossess intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsDemonstrate a strong problem-solving mindset with an analytical, proactive and hands-on approachPossess a basic knowledge of various types of corporate entities and transactionsHave exceptional level of attention to detail and the ability to cross-check data to ensure accuracy and completenessHave the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and to meet deadlinesPossess strong oral and written communication skillsExercise excellent judgment and maintain the highest level of confidentialityThrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced work environmentHave flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods#LI-TD1Benefits and MoreAt Goodwin, you will discover your next career opportunity with a rewarding compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including:Health, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insuranceRetirement & Savings PlanEmergency back-up child and adult carePaid vacation, sick time off, and holidaysProfessional development and career advancement opportunitiesEmployee recognition and reward programsEmployee wellness and assistance programsEmployee discounts and perksThis position is eligible for overtime: NoThe Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: Boston $130K- $140K, Silicon Valley $145-$160KSummaryLocation: Boston; Silicon ValleyType: Full time
