About the Position

Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intermediate Care Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: September 16, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating shifts available (Day and Night), every other weekend required. Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity level.

Highlights:

• 24-bed Pediatric Intermediate Care unit within a dedicated children's hospital
• Work with complex pediatric patients requiring trachs, home ventilators, feeding pumps, central lines, chest tubes, and High Flow Nasal Cannulas
• Meditech EMR system
• Float opportunities within the Children's Tower including Pediatric Surgical, NICU, and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology units
• Collaborative team of approximately 40 nursing staff members
• 12-month contract assignment with competitive compensation package

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or multistate compact license
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannulas (required)
• Tracheostomy and home ventilator management experience (required)
• Central line care proficiency
• Flexible, positive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills
