Salary: $93,000 - 133,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 3+ years of professional software development experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• We need hands-on experience with Podman, or Docker skills that transfer well, including image builds, networking, volumes, and pod management.
• We need strong experience designing and consuming RESTful web APIs; familiarity with SOAP is a plus.
• We need working knowledge of XML processing, including schemas (XSD), XPath, and transformations.
• We need experience integrating applications with Keycloak or a comparable identity provider using OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect.
• We need proven experience migrating containerized applications to at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We need proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• We need a solid understanding of application security, secrets management, and environment configuration.
• Preferred experience includes Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Preferred experience includes Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or Helm.
• Preferred experience includes GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Preferred experience includes message queues or event streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or Azure Service Bus.
• Preferred experience includes observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or cloud-native monitoring.
• Preferred experience includes database work with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or cloud-managed databases.
• Preferred scripting experience in PowerShell or Bash.
• Preferred cloud certifications include AWS Developer/Solutions Architect, Azure Developer, or an equivalent GCP credential.
• Top Secret clearance is required.

• We design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful web APIs using Node.js frameworks such as Express, Fastify, or NestJS.
• We build, run, and troubleshoot containerized applications with Podman, including rootless containers, pods, and Containerfiles/Dockerfiles.
• We plan and carry out migrations of existing containerized workloads to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We assess current container architectures and recommend the best cloud target based on cost, scalability, and operational needs.
• We integrate applications with Keycloak for authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML, including realm, client, and role setup.
• We parse, transform, validate, and generate XML data using XSD, XPath, and XSLT, supporting legacy and SOAP-based integrations.
• We secure APIs with JWT validation, role-based access control, rate limiting, and input validation.
• We build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for container image builds, scanning, and deployment.
• We write unit, integration, and API tests to support reliability and maintainability.
• We document APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger and create migration runbooks and architecture diagrams.
• We collaborate with DevOps, security, and platform teams on deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution.
