Electrical Application Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support the creation and maintenance of production work orders, Bills of Material (BOMs), and product configurations for a growing engineering team. This position is ideal for candidates with an electrical engineering background who enjoy working with schematics, drawings, and manufacturing systems. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, as the organization has a proven track record of developing early-career engineers into high-performing technical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production work orders and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Develop and manage product configurations.
• Work closely with schematics, drawings, and manufacturing systems.
• Support the engineering team in various technical tasks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read schematics.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Basic programming aptitude.
• background in electrical engineering.
• Experience or strong exposure to BOM management.
• Engineering degree or associate degree.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Exposure to configuration logic, programming, or automated engineering systems.
• Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.

Work Environment

Collaborative engineering team with approximately seven team members. Standard first-shift schedule, typically ending around 4:00 PM. Primarily office-based engineering support role with limited domestic travel required. The role offers structured onboarding and training with opportunities for professional development and internal growth.

This is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, OH.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
