Role Description SZ PM Consultants, Inc. is seeking aProject Controls Engineer to support transportation and infrastructure projects in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The successful candidate will provide administrative, financial, and technical project controls support, including project documentation, cost tracking, financial reporting, forecasting, and coordination with project teams. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering or construction environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and manage project-related data and documentation in Procore, including uploading supporting documents and maintaining accurate project records. Generate and analyze bi-weekly labor reports and coordinate with Project Managers to identify and resolve labor charging issues. Prepare monthly expenditure and balance reports to support project and program-level financial tracking. Coordinate with project teams and accounting personnel to support invoice submissions, payments, and other financial transactions. Assist with the preparation of project cost estimates and financial forecasts. Monitor project expenditures and support budgeting and cost-control activities. Provide accurate and timely financial information to support project management and decision-making. Maintain project records, contract documentation, and financial reports. Prepare and submit required project logs and documentation in a timely manner. Perform other project controls and project support duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience, preferably with a focus on cost management. Demonstrated experience supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering or construction environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong technical writing abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Oracle PeopleSoft, and Procore. Accounting background preferred.
