We welcome all healthcare professionals to join our thriving community and contribute to our pursuit for clinical excellence.Position Responsibilities:Interprets orders and verifies orders.Accurately compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals.Monitors drug therapy regimens.Suggests appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic medication alternatives to medical staff.Supports the hospital formulary, rational drug therapy selection.Provides accurate and timely medication information.Assists with clinical services.Participates in basic antimicrobial management program.Accurately and completely documents all clinical activities and interventionsSupports and participates in the goals of the organization's quality improvement, risk management and patient safety programs to include but not limited to National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measures and HCAHPS medication related initiatives.Completes notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions.Participates in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students and technicians.Maintains professional competency sufficient to meet current and future needs of the facility.Aware of the patient population served and caters to their health care needsProvides basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems.Effectively supervises pharmacy operation activities and provides support to the whole pharmacy teamCompliant with facility pharmacy schedule to work physically at patient care areas to interact with medical staff, nurses and other members of the healthcare team.Effectively and proactively follows-up with medical staff on any issues regarding drug therapy.Trains and participates with Disaster Team drills and real-event response as assignedTrains and participates with Code Teams as assigned. Obtains and maintains BLS-ACLS or PALS current certification as appropriate.Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"Maintains appropriate controlled substance records.Complies with all regulatory standards.Prioritizes work to comply with facility medication turn-around time policy and procedure.Effectively supervises and assists pharmacy technicians and other support staffActs as supervisor in charge as assigned.Participates in the continuous quality review of order sets and/or computer drug entries.Participates in the continuous quality improvement of pharmacy operations (operational/clinical)Qualifications:Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida.B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.2 years pharmacy experience preferred.Benefits:We believe in the physical and mental well-being of our employees and are committed to offering comprehensive benefits that fit their personal needs.
