Position Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Director on the Cancer Initiatives Major Gifts team at MCD, the Development Coordinator provides critical administrative and operational support to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) and Director of the Cancer Initiatives Team within Medical Center Development (MCD). This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working as part of a highly collaborative team. This role dedicates 50% of its responsibilities to administrative management, including coordinating logistics for complex internal and external meetings related to the university’s cancer initiatives; managing gift officer calendars; resolving scheduling conflicts; preparing agendas and minutes; and processing reimbursements for the AVP and Director. Portfolio and donor management accounts for 30% of the role, including coordinating donor meetings and related reservations, catering, parking, audiovisual support, and day-of setup; maintaining prospect, donor, and gift information in university databases; generating gift reports; submitting assignment requests; and tracking and sending faculty donor acknowledgment letters. The remaining portion of this role involves planning and executing larger donor events, coordinating faculty and gift officer travel, and performing other duties and projects as assigned.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with frontline fundraising staff, development officers, internal partner teams, donors, volunteers, and other university staff to assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with all university constituencies.
