Job Description
ROLE - SPECIALTY
Radiology Specialist Assistant

SCHEDULE
Shift: 8am-4:30pm

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Weekly
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the state education department
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient care services in accordance with approved privileges under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform patient assessments using age-specific growth and development principles.
- Assist supervising physician with various radiologic procedures and patient management.
- Conduct fluoroscopic procedures, including barium studies, joint injections, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
- Document procedures accurately, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients on procedures and ensure informed consent is obtained.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
