Claims Processor I

Summary: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of claims. Job Details Position: Full‑time (40 hours/week), Monday‑Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM Location: 200 North Dozier Boulevard, Florence, SC 29501 (on site) Government clearance required; applicant must be a U.S. citizen Responsibilities Research and process claims according to business regulation, internal standards and processing guidelines. Verify procedure and diagnosis coding. Resolve system edits, audits and claim errors through research and use of approved references and investigative sources. Coordinate with internal departments to work edits and deferrals, updating patient and provider information as necessary. Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: None specified beyond education Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical, organizational and customer service skills; strong oral and written communication skills; proficiency in spelling, punctuation and grammar; good judgment; basic business math. Software: Basic office equipment proficiency.
