RN - CVICU

CVICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday.

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. This role involves providing specialized care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery and other complex cardiothoracic conditions. The ideal candidate will not only have the technical skills necessary for critical care nursing, but also demonstrate compassion and dedication to patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a CVICU setting.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including open heart and neurological case management.
• Assist with procedures involving ICP drains and balloon pumps.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of CVICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with open heart surgeries and neurological cases preferred.
• Ability to float to other units as required.
