Line CookAs a Line Cook at Tunxis Country Club, you will work under the direction of our Head Chef to prepare and cook menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness, while efficiently executing dishes during service.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelinesSet up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies and ingredientsFollow proper food handling procedures and maintain a clean and organized kitchenAssist in the training and development of junior kitchen staffCollaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periodsMonitor food stock and assist in inventory managementExperiment with and suggest new menu items and seasonal dishesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school degree preferredProven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environmentStrong knowledge of cooking techniques, equipment, and food safety standardsAbility to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitudeExcellent communication and teamwork skillsFlexible scheduling availability, including nights and weekendsRequirements:Must be able to work weekends and holidaysServSafe Certified2 years minimum line cook experience
