Barberton Mancan is seeking experienced Brazers to join an exceptional metal fabrication company in Barberton.

This is a full time, temp to hire position

Your responsibilities will include:
The Silver Brazer is responsible for joining metal components using silver brazing techniques according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The role requires precision, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to produce high-quality brazed assemblies for industrial or commercial products.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform silver brazing operations on various metal components, including copper, brass, stainless steel, and other alloys.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, deburring, and applying appropriate brazing flux.
Set up and operate oxy-acetylene, air-acetylene, induction, or other brazing equipment.
Select appropriate silver brazing alloys and filler materials based on product specifications.
Assemble fixtures and position components accurately prior to brazing.
Inspect brazed joints for proper penetration, alignment, strength, and appearance.
Perform leak testing, pressure testing, or visual inspections as required.
Maintain production records, quality documentation, and traceability records.
Follow production schedules to meet daily output and customer delivery requirements.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of brazing equipment.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or quality concerns.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce scrap.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles.
Comply with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality standards.

Minimum requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
Good hand-eye coordination and vision, including close detail work.
Ability to work in environments with heat, noise, and manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE.
Skilled in tape measuring and print reading
Must be at least 18 years old or older

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
13 years of silver brazing or related metal joining experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of brazing temperatures, filler metals, and flux application.
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions
Exposure to heat, open flames, welding fumes, and industrial equipment.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, etc.

Must pass a pre employment background check and drug screen.
