EHS Specialist What You'll Bring 3+ years of experience as an EHS professional, preferably in manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, or a similar industrial environment. Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or equivalent experience. Experience supporting EHS program development, training personnel at all levels, and influencing organizational change to reduce risk and improve outcomes through cross-functional collaboration. Experience with hazard analysis methodologies, hazard communication, powered industrial vehicle safety, OSHA compliance, incident investigation, lessons learned programs, and corrective action management. Familiarity with industrial hygiene, ergonomics, machine safety, and environmental compliance processes. Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities and deadlines. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. The Environmental Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) team supports Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations functions in the shared mission of creating a safe, sustainable, and productive workplace. The EHS&S team uses Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to foster an engaged, agile workforce focused on critical safeguard verification and innovative solutions to complex technical and organizational challenges. The team supports people and environment-focused decision-making through actionable metrics, best-in-class resources, and exceptional talent. We are seeking an ambitious EHS Specialist to support the startup and ongoing operations of a large-scale manufacturing facility. The candidate will support a variety of operations including welding, coatings, automated and manual assembly processes in a high-volume production environment. This role will support the business in validating new processes, managing changes, and collaborating with operational leaders on risk reduction initiatives. The EHS Specialist will use HOP principles to drive ownership of EHS impacts, engage with employees, learn from events, and systematically enhance operational safeguards. The candidate will develop, implement, and continuously improve programs within the EHS Management System framework in partnership with operational and EHS teams. They will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as conformance to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. What You'll Do Drive EHS outcomes for one or more manufacturing departments through leadership and employee engagement in alignment with business and EHS objectives. Partner with facility stakeholders to ensure production and operational changes result in improved controls for health, safety, and environmental risks. Perform audits and inspections, document findings, and verify corrective action closure. Analyze event trends and use risk assessment methodologies to identify continuous improvement projects that reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts. Facilitate investigations using a Learning Teams approach, ensuring employee involvement and that preventative actions address system-level causes rather than individual behaviors. Participate in pre-job planning and verification of controls and safeguards before new, high-risk, or non-standard work begins. Partner with EHS subject matter experts (Environmental, Construction Safety, Equipment Safety, EHS Systems and Tools, EHS Training, etc.) as needed to ensure effective support and service delivery.
