Process Architect - Value Improvement Office - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)

Process Architect The process architect facilitates system redesign initiatives in the organization that promote operational excellence. This innovative candidate will display recognized leadership and sound organizational and analytical skills and will actively assist the executive team in completing facility projects according to respective deadlines and expectations. Responsibilities Facilitates strategic decisions and provides leadership direction within the organization to optimize management of scope, financials, and schedule as it impacts project execution. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety standards, CDPH standards with Title 18 and Title 22 standards knowledge. Partners with department directors and process owners to create and develop project plans; drives results and revises plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while maintaining linkage between projects, business needs and customer priorities. Collects statistical data for administrative purposes and prepares reports for presentation to hospital leadership and medical staff members. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings, and workshops. Develops management objectives and policies for the various departments and monitors results. Interprets objectives, policies, and procedures. Facilitates system redesign initiatives using innovative and critical thinking. Coordinates activities of the assigned departments with other departments both within and outside the hospital; resolves problems with department heads concerning use of resources; encourages and maintains open lines of communication with all project stakeholders. Evaluates the performance of the various departments as well as the performance of key managers and supervisors and provides feedback to the Senior Leadership. Provides operational expertise and guidance while implementing lean methodology and best practices. Attends promptly to the administrative details of the position including preparation of reports, completion of performance appraisals, and other employee‑related actions. Develops reports to support hospital and corporate initiatives, including financial evaluation of capital projects and strategic initiatives. Develops hospital‑wide dashboards and tracking tools using Microsoft Excel and Visio, while interfacing with hospital data systems (Cerner, Showcase). Leverages hospital data systems to review and analyze financial information for complex, difficult and varied management needs. Identifies cost‑cutting measures in various process improvement initiatives. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Required Qualifications High school or equivalent. Strategic planning and critical thinking skills for problem solving and identification of solutions. Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree MHA or MBA. Specialized/technical training Nursing Clinical degree or experience. 2 years combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience. Previous performance improvement experience and knowledge of lean principles, tools and techniques. Licenses / Certifications Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date (required within LA City only).
