Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Must hold a valid GAPSC Paraprofessional Certificate
• Previous experience with students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) is preferred, though not mandatory
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers and supporting student needs
• Patient, resourceful, and adaptable to rapidly changing classroom situations
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and safe environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead and special education teachers in daily classroom activities and individualized instruction
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students, including one-on-one or small group assistance
• Support the implementation of IEPs and classroom behavior management strategies
• Foster a positive, caring atmosphere while promoting student growth and engagement
• Help with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and maintaining accurate student records
• Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and professional development, as required
