Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services during night shift hours in an acute care setting
• Collaborate as a team player with unit staff to deliver quality patient care
• Participate in weekend rotation as required (typically no more than every other weekend)
• Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled — up to 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule; on-call window for night shift travelers is limited to 4:00 PM–8:00 PM only
• Float to other units and/or campuses as requested based on census needs, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements, including orientation

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required — CRT candidates are not eligible for this position
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR
• Must be available for weekend shifts and holiday coverage (holidays are not guaranteed off)
• Must complete pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity or multi-specialty adult care environment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across units while maintaining quality of care
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a collaborative, flexible approach
