This role is responsible for assistance in maintaining aspects of the physical plant. Conducting, under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs; maintains safe working environment and assists other department employees as needed.

Schedule and Pay Rate

Schedule: full time day shift

Pay rate: $19.50 to $21.50 per hour.

Reports to: Director of Plant Operations

Daily Responsibilities

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a maintenance tech:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Perform general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.2. Receive service requests and response in a timely manner.3. Perform painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.4. Perform routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.5. Perform minor building and equipment repairs.6. Complete all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.7. Assist, during winter, with snow removal efforts as necessary.8. Maintain cleanliness of fountains, pumping and filtration system, where appropriate.9. Perform maintenance on irrigation system (valves, timers and nozzles).10. Perform routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.

Qualifications

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High School diploma or equivalent in training, education and experience Minimum one year experience in building maintenance One year or more experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance
