Make a difference in the lives of K-8 students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment located near Warren, MI. This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with students who require specialized instruction, adapting curriculum and fostering an inclusive classroom for diverse learners. With two openings available, you’ll be collaborating alongside dedicated professionals, contributing your expertise to help every student achieve their full potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-8)
• Experience working with elementary and middle school students with varying disabilities
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to modify instructional methods and materials for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to small groups and individual students
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure compliance and success
• Collaborate with general education teachers and ancillary staff to promote an inclusive classroom environment
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in team meetings as needed
• Manage classroom behavior and support students’ social-emotional growth

Additional Details & Benefits:

• Contract position, 40 hours per week
• Two current openings for immediate placement
• Interview availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am to 1 pm
