Because of the technical nature of this role, we are looking for someone with experience working in Microsoft Windows environments. This includes configuring and troubleshooting workstations and servers. To be successful in this role management knowledge of Active Directory and cloud services like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspaces will be important. This position does not require coding and development experience. What You’ll Do You’ll work closely with our entire service team and receive training and support when you need it. Here are a few things you might do on any given day: Respond to client inquiries and provide technical assistance Assist during server and workstation installations and upgrades Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with Windows workstations and servers Document incidents and solutions in a clear and concise manner Work with internal teams to elevate and resolve more complex technical issues Ideal Candidate Here is what we’re looking for in an ideal candidate. 3 to 5 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role Strong knowledge of Windows workstations and servers Solid understanding of Active Directory Knowledge of how a small to medium sized computer network is setup and works Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, without getting overwhelmed Excellent communication skills, can communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Strong roots in a customer experience field (hospitality, retail, services, etc.) Desire to build and maintain relationships with anyone you interact with Preference to "do things correctly," rather than quickly Requirements Live in the Greater Des Moines Area Available to work 40 hours a week. Some work occasionally needs to be performed after hours or on weekends, but is always scheduled ahead of time. Many of our larger projects require us to install equipment at the offices of our clients. We’ve found that these projects go much smoother if we can collaborate in person.
