With over 100 years of innovation in sustainable infrastructure and our expertise in engineering, procurement, consulting and construction, together we are building a world of difference.The Opportunity This role will give you the opportunity to:Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.Create and maintain project schedules for mid-size to large projects.Manage project team's scope, schedule, budget and quality on assigned projectsAssist in the production of HVAC and plumbing system deliverables (Specifications, drawings, calculations, and basis of design documents) for new buildings as well as for renovation and additions to existing facilitiesActively coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractor on projectsActively mentor / share knowledge with other staff membersOversee the creation and analysis of project energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis utilizing Trace 3D and BLCC.Oversee creation of 2D drawings (such as P&IDS, control diagrams, and notes) in REVITPerform construction period services (review of submits, responses to RFI's etc)Present in front of large groups that include clients, peers, contractors, and end user groups.The Team The Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. has its mission to provide a full range of services to our primary client base - U.S. Government agencies and departments. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program. Knowledge of building mechanical codes and ability to perform accurate load calculations Strong HVAC / Plumbing design capability in industrial, commercial, central plants, boilers, chillers and other related markets Knowledgeable in sustainable design Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred design experience related to any of the following subject matters: Federal industry experience European, General MILCON, or Civil Works project experience Building Controls Systems Design /Building Automation CFD modelingMinimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in engineering work. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.Compensation Transparency In accordance with local requirements, the annual compensation ranges for this role are listed below by state or jurisdiction and reflect the applicable office location(s) within each. Final compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal alignment, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
