BRIEF COMPANY PROFILE:
Clinton Machine, Inc. is a division of the global group of companies under the INDUCTOTHERM Group Corporation. The company is located in Ovid, Michigan and has been in business for over 60 years, earning a reputation for its innovative solutions in Automated Systems. We provide both design and build of Specialized Machinery & Automated Material Handling systems for the following Industries; Automotive, Steel Mill, Tube Manufacturing, and General Product Manufacturers.

General Qualifications & Skills:
Purchasing qualifications:
- Ability to work within a manufacturing team environment.
- (Plus+) Prior knowledge of purchasing industrial components for manufacturing.
- Ability to multi-task workload & prioritize demands to coordinate with Mfg.
- Highly organized and able to track purchases to keep projects on schedule.
- Ability to negotiate pricing, contracts and deliveries with suppliers.
- Ability to communicate well with others, both verbal and written skills.
- Knowledgeable in using Microsoft 365 - Excel, Word and Outlook.
- (Plus+) Prior knowledge of E2 Shoptech ERP Software.
General Job Description:
Purchasing Responsibilities:
- Work with Engineering to facilitate ordering materials for specific projects.
- Work within Cost Budgets developed from estimating project cost sheets.
- Identify and pursue effective cost saving initiatives to save company money.
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, delivery, warranty, commercial terms, etc.
- Track incoming materials daily and resolve errors or missed supplier deliveries.
- Work with suppliers to resolve non-conforming products, and expedited deliveries.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative solutions for critical components.
- Work with Accounting to reconcile discrepancies with supplier invoice receipts.
- Develop list of qualified, reliable & fair priced suppliers to partner with company.
- Track vendor performance for quality, pricing, on-time delivery and support.
- Establish Services related contracts with outside Contractors (or) suppliers.
- Assist Estimating & Manufacturing in obtaining materials & component pricing.
- Coordinate shipping of Equipment, including transportation and documentation.
