Director, Business Unit Finance

Repligen is a fast-growing, acquisitive global public company looking for a strong, experienced, and detail-oriented Director of Finance reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This represents an opportunity to work in a key finance leadership role with significant executive visibility. This role is a critical business partner for our Cell Therapy Business Unit (BU), helping to drive growth, profitability, and long-term value creation as the business continues to scale.

This is a hybrid role based out of Bothell, WA.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Business Unit VP & General Manager to scale a fast-growing and highly profitable product portfolio while ensuring financial decisions support sustainable long-term growth.
• Engage product line leaders in thoughtful, data-driven discussions that challenge assumptions, uncover opportunities, and drive initiatives that further expand profitability and sales growth.
• Provide financial insight and strategic perspective to influence decision-making and help prioritize long-term value creation across the BU.
• Own the monthly reporting package and proactively collaborate with stakeholders to continuously enhance management's access to relevant financial data and business insights.
• Lead the forecast, budget, and strategic planning processes for the BU, aligning stakeholders around priorities and driving accountability for business performance.
• Provide critical support for the business and financial integration of the BioLife Solutions business (pending regulatory approval) into global Repligen processes, helping ensure a seamless and effective transition.
• Partner with Product Management to establish KPIs and operating mechanisms that promote transparency, guide decision-making, and support strategic investment decisions.
• Lead the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) financial presentation materials and communicate key insights, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with the Sales Operations team to enhance reporting, predictive analytics, and actionable insights that support informed decision-making and business performance.
• Partner with R&D to support new product introductions, ensuring financial rigor and alignment with broader business objectives.
• Collaborate across functions (Operations, Sales, Product Management, R&D, etc.) to identify key trends and issues, resolve complex challenges, strengthen alignment, and implement meaningful process improvements.
• Partner with the Business Development team on M&A activities, as required, providing financial insight and strategic analysis to support growth initiatives.
• Partner with the VP of FP&A to evolve forecasting and analytical processes, driving greater effectiveness, scalability, and efficiency across the organization.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modeling, as required, to support strategic and operational business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
• 12+ years of relevant financial leadership experience in a complex, multinational, multi-site manufacturing and product development environment.
• Strong professional communication, relationship-building, and facilitation skills, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate effectively across all levels of executive management and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and metrics into clear, actionable business insights that influence decision-making and drive results.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities, lead change, and drive process improvements on a global scale.
• Strong attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to work with large data sets using leading-edge tools.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships, navigate ambiguity, and balance strategic priorities with operational execution in a dynamic growth environment.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $178,000-$240,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's ,qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
