Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER/ED Float)

Centennial, CO (Float Zone – Denver Metro Area)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Mid Shifts | Onsite | Float Position – No Home Base Facility

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in emergency department settings across multiple facilities within a defined 60-mile float zone in the Denver metro area
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a variety of acute conditions including abdominal pain, stroke, NSTEMI, trauma, pneumonia, and hypertension
• Administer and monitor standard emergency medications and drips; interpret and read telemetry strips independently
• Perform Point of Care lab testing as trained and required by the facility
• Adapt to facility assignments that may be scheduled 4–6 weeks in advance or assigned Just-In-Time (JIT) 1–2 hours before shift start
• Float throughout Zone 3 facilities as needed, working every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry monitoring
• Must be available to float throughout the full 60-mile zone regardless of personal housing location
• Must be present in-state for the week of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in multi-facility or float pool environments
• Familiarity with trauma, STEMI, and stroke receiving center protocols
• Comfort working in varied ED settings with patient volumes ranging from 40 to 168 patients per day
