Member Consultant - Westminster 104th

Overview Entry-level Member Consultant in Westminster, CO 80260. Full-time position; hours are typically 40 per week, Monday–Friday. High School diploma or equivalent required. Salary range: $20.49 – $25.62 hourly. The Member Consultant delivers an exceptional in-branch experience by building meaningful connections with members, understanding their financial needs, processing transactions accurately, educating members on credit union products and services, fulfilling service requests, and referring members to specialized representatives when appropriate. Responsibilities Establish new member relationships and open appropriate consumer and deposit accounts based on financial needs. Retain and build existing member relationships using a consultative approach; advise members on relevant products and services. Provide account servicing and maintenance; resolve problems per established procedures and regulations. For more complex transactions, transition the member to remote service. Process transactions efficiently and accurately; use transaction details to identify additional needs. Instruct members on products/services to maximize benefit, use, and comfort. Ensure required documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately; follow up quickly if a deficiency is identified. Promote self-service banking (e.g., e-ATMs, online banking, mobile banking) to members. Assist members with obtaining consumer loan products by accepting loan applications and partnering with the direct lending team to facilitate funding. Identify qualified referrals and transition members to appropriate referral partners (e.g., investments, mortgage, small business); stay informed about current products/services to assist members effectively. Complete defined onboarding to enhance member experience. Survey the branch to ensure zones are functioning and adequately supplied. Perform branch-specific duties (e.g., balancing vault, managing recyclers and coin machines, processing night deposits, currency ordering/preparation, audits, opening/closing the branch as scheduled). Support and collaborate with branch associates; promote a positive team environment and contribute to meeting goals. Qualifications Education : High School diploma or equivalent. Experience : 2+ years in a retail or customer service environment; prior experience in financial services or credit unions preferred. Knowledge & Skills : Knowledge of financial products and services offered by credit unions (e.g., checking, loans, mortgages) preferred; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple tasks; team player in a goal-oriented environment.
