As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. You Have: 2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including Python, SQL, and R 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis Experience developing scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics Experience with Databricks Ability to manage and organize large datasets, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, while ensuring data quality, security, and governance Ability to develop and manage data pipelines to support enterprise-level analytics, reporting, and machine learning projects Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree Nice If You Have: Experience with War Data Platform Experience with distributed data or computing tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications Experience with Agile engineering practices Ability to explore and contribute to data modeling, feature engineering, and other pre-processing work required for advanced analytics Ability to support exploratory data analysis on large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights TS/SCI clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
