Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the Operating Room setting. The role involves working independently after orientation, with responsibilities for maintaining a sterile environment and supporting surgical procedures across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform perioperative nursing tasks for general surgery, neuro, spine, ortho, urology, eyes, and dental procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately using electronic health records, including Meditech.
• Prepare and maintain sterile supplies and environments in compliance with hospital standards.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout long shifts.
• Support patient safety by following established protocols and procedures independently after orientation.

Qualifications:

• Hold completed ARN 101 training and current nursing licensure.
• Certification in OR nursing or CAORN certification preferred.
• Possess reliable transportation to and from shifts.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Be adaptable to working varying hours, including on-call shifts, with ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of standing long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
