The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.About the Team:SCommerce Supply & Demand is currently in a foundational development phase. Today, this means many systems are early-stage, processes are still being formed, and many operational problems do not yet have finalized playbooks. The Systems Builder is responsible for navigating these unstructured operational realities to transition the team from manual, people-dependent execution toward scalable and sustainable systems.There is a significant opportunity in this role to:Shape foundational systems, ownership structures, and operational processes from the ground up.Define operational standards that will dictate how SCommerce operates as the business scales.Solve complex, ambiguous operational problems by building scalable structure where none exists.Drive meaningful, visible improvements across the organization’s future state.Job Description:Systems & Process DesignInvestigate complex operational issues to identify and address root causes rather than symptoms.Improve workflows and design operational processes that ensure long-term sustainability.Translate ambiguous operational problems into structured, executable action plans.Identify gaps, edge cases, and downstream risks before they escalate into systemic failures.Cross-Functional CoordinationServe as the primary focal point at the intersection of Commercial, Warehouse Operations, and BI/Analytics.Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve operational blockers and align on deliverables.Navigate competing stakeholder needs and operational constraints to ensure project success.Operational ExecutionManage high-volume operational initiatives, often while working with incomplete information.Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and visibility tools to monitor and improve performance.Execute with high velocity in a complex environment, adapting independently to shifting priorities.Performance ExcellenceIndependently create structure and define standards without waiting for explicit instructions.Maintain mental organization and prioritize effectively under high pressure and ambiguity.Communicate complex situations clearly and simply to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ensure consistent follow-through and closure of all operational loops to maximize business impact.Requirements:Educational Background & Experiences:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Analytics, Economics, or any related field4–6 years of working experience in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Analytics, Startups, Project Management, or ConsultingWhile background in high-ownership commercial or operational roles is preferred, we prioritize how you think, how you solve problems, and how you operate under pressure over exact domain expertiseKnowledge and Skills:Problem-Solving: Proven ability to distinguish symptoms from root causes and build systems to address them.Operational Mindset: Strong mental organization and the ability to stay functional under heavy operational pressure.Ambiguity Management: Comfortable operating effectively in high-velocity environments with incomplete information.Ownership & Independence: High degree of proactivity and the ability to improve systems rather than just maintaining them.Adaptability: Ability to think and prioritize independently while navigating shifting business needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr Shopee
