As a Histology Technician, you will execute and interpret comprehensive histology testing, which includes tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, cover slipping, and slide evaluation. You will ensure effective communication of product testing status across multiple departments, conduct quality control inspections, and manage disposition activities to release raw materials and finished goods according to approved specifications and quality procedures. Additionally, you will support the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring documentation accuracy and maintaining audit readiness within the quality system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret end-to-end histology testing using various techniques and approved methods.

• Communicate the status of product testing across multiple departments effectively.

• Perform quality control inspections and manage the disposition of raw materials and finished goods.

• Support the Quality Management System by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring audit readiness.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in histology, laboratory techniques, and tissue processing.

• Experience with embedding, microtomy, staining, and cover slipping.

• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

• Ability to perform quality inspections and manage quality control processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate's degree in Histology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific discipline.

• At least one year of hands-on experience in histology and analytical testing within a regulated laboratory environment.

Work Environment

The position is based in a QC/Histology Lab, working alongside two other employees on the QC/Histology lab team, and collaborating with three additional histology professionals on the R&D team. The lab supports validations and other high-level functions, providing a collaborative and professional environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Genoa City, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $41.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
