A well-regarded Denver general aviation facility running a high-traffic piston fleet—Cirrus, Cessna, and Beechcraft among the regulars in the hangar. The crew is experienced, collaborative, and small enough that every technician’s work is visible and valued. With active expansion underway into turboprop and electric aviation, and a clear path toward Part 145 certification, this is a shop with a trajectory that rewards technicians who want to grow alongside it.

Base Salary: $32–$42 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis — well-positioned for Utah technicians making the move east to the Rockies

Shift: 40 hours per week; flexible 4x10 or 5x8 schedule; overtime frequently available with premium pay for weekend rotations and AOG call-outs

Job Summary

Maintain an active GA piston fleet at a Denver shop that’s building toward something—more platforms, broader certifications, and a deeper technical bench. The role covers the full range of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, avionics upgrades, and structural work, with direct reporting to the Director of Maintenance and clear room to grow into greater responsibility as the operation expands.

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across a diverse general aviation piston fleet with accuracy and efficiency

• Execute and sign off on annual and 100-hour inspections in strict accordance with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and avionics faults with disciplined diagnostic methodology

• Assist with avionics suite upgrades including autopilot, GPS, radio, and ADS-B system installations

• Perform minor airframe structural work and sheet metal repairs as aircraft condition and specifications require

• Source and apply Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, technical drawings, and OEM maintenance manuals across all work orders

• Record completed maintenance promptly and accurately within the shop’s digital maintenance tracking system

• Keep personal workspace and the broader hangar environment organized and consistently inspection-ready

• Support rotational weekend coverage and respond to AOG events as part of the shop’s on-call team

• Valid, current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience on GA piston aircraft as a certificated A&P

• Demonstrated ability to independently complete and authorize 100-hour inspections

• Competent electrical and avionics troubleshooting skills

• Solid command of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91

• Personal set of basic aviation hand tools required

• Strong communicator with meticulous documentation habits

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work comfortably in varied postures, and tolerate standard aviation hangar chemicals and noise levels

• Active Inspection Authorization (IA) credential

• Hands-on experience with G1000, Garmin, Avidyne, or comparable modern integrated avionics platforms

• Prior background in airframe structural repair and sheet metal techniques

• Turboprop maintenance experience as the shop scales into that segment

• Supervisory, lead mechanic, or crew leadership experience

• Familiarity with high-cycle or high-utilization fleet operations, particularly in flight training or academy environments
