Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year CVICU experience required License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Impella post-cardiac surgery Experience pre/post-cardiac catheterization/intervention Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring Experience with thermodilution PA catheter monitoring Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws Experience with Epic charting system Description: This position is for a winter contract, but 13-week contracts are also accepted. Candidates must work a minimum of every other holiday. Experience is required with post-cardiac surgery care, aiding in recovery. Candidates should have experience in pre/post-cardiac catheterization and intervention. Candidates need familiarity with pulmonary artery line and Swan Ganz monitoring. Thermodilution PA catheter monitoring experience is also required. Expectations include managing a 1:2 patient ratio on this 36-bed unit. Traveler will float as needed within specialties based on patient care needs. Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Floating may involve going to other campuses within proximity. No additional time off will be considered after the job offer is made. Candidates should have experience with continuous IV sedation and management of dysrhythmias. Ability to read and interpret EKG strips is essential. This role involves care for patients experiencing a range of cardiac and critical conditions. Candidates must be willing to participate in the hospital's floating policies with no restrictions.
