Responsibilities* Phone Management/Scheduling Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries related to student clinic appointments, services, and availability Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments based on clinic availability and dental student schedules Assist with outbound calls for appointment reminders, follow-ups, or waitlist management Accurately enter and update patient and appointment information in the scheduling system Student Support Coordinate with student providers, and clinic administrators to ensure proper appointment alignment and case assignments Provide general information about the dental clinic's services and student provider process Administrative/Customer Service Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and data security Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate supervisor or department Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with all patients and internal stakeholders Required Qualifications* Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Background Screening The University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background checks.
