Built on a modern tech stack (Angular front end, Python back end), the platform supports seamless integration, advanced analytics, and user-friendly interfaces.RoleThis Scrum Master will join a product pod of roughly 15 people (engineers, QA, a UX designer, and data engineers), operating as one of three pod leaders alongside the Engineering Manager and Product Manager. Rather than working in a silo, this person will actively partner across the pod to align priorities, surface capacity and risk, and keep delivery on track.This is not a textbook Scrum Master role. The process blends structured, upfront requirements and prioritization with agile execution once work reaches the development team. The Scrum Master must be equally comfortable running efficient, well-prepared ceremonies (sprint planning runs in about an hour) and communicating at different altitudes — detailed status with the team, big-picture summaries with senior leadership.This role is 100% remote, with the team gathering in person once per year. Pay will be DOE and conversion salary can range between 150-175K Plus BonusResponsibilitiesFacilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives — efficiently, with prep work done in advanceServe as one of three pod leads (with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager), aligning priorities, capacity, and riskMaintain visibility into team priorities and status through the team's Jira-based intake and prioritization system, ensuring work stays tied to approved goalsCommunicate status and priorities clearly to both the immediate team and senior/executive stakeholdersSupport release readiness in a daily-release, monorepo environment, including awareness of feature-flagged (LaunchDarkly) work and what's safe to shipBuild and maintain sprint metrics and reporting (capacity, velocity) using Jira data, JQL queries, and other tools (including AI-assisted reporting) where native tracking falls shortProtect the team from uncontrolled work injection, ensuring changes are evaluated and intentionalDrive incident follow-up items to closure, and support post-mortems and root cause analysisGuide the team in estimating practices and story/epic sizingOperate within a SOC-compliant, regulated environment, understanding and supporting required controlsParticipate in a Scrum Master guild to maintain consistency across podsSkills and QualificationsBA/BS degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of project management experience and 4 years leading sprintsComfortable as a Project Manager/Scrum Master hybrid — this environment does not use SAFe, and rigid SAFe-only backgrounds are not a fitStrong Jira power-user skills, including JQL queries to extract and report on data; Jira administration experience is a plusExperience with monorepo release processes and feature-flag-based deployments (e.g., LaunchDarkly) preferredExperience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment (SOC, SOX, or similar) preferredDeep understanding of agile metrics (velocity, burndown, capacity) and comfort building reporting manually when tools don't support it out of the boxStrong understanding of SDLC and agile procedures to anticipate the development team's needsExcellent communication skills across all levels, from team members to senior leadershipComfortable using AI tools to improve reporting and process efficiencyOpen to being coached on team-specific processes, regardless of tenure or certification levelCertifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.) welcome but not required — real experience carries more weightSelf-motivated, organized, and comfortable in a fully remote environment
